Update: Did that - Click Here :-) We flew out to (and landed in the middle of) the Great Barrier Reef in this little De'Havilland seaplane and went snorkling - Fantastic experience - December 2001 Marie and the Seaplane (and the Pilot). The Reef looks unreal from the air. Heart Reef.  Wonder why they call it that ;-) There were some great views flying over the Whitsunday Islands. Nice Beach.  Probably shark infested though. Whitsundays. The pilot was a perfectionist so I knew the landing would be smooth. Yep - Smooooth landing. A Wildlife Park near Harvey Bay.  Marie loved the baby wombat. Not overly keen on the kangaroos though. And as for the Emus - vicious buggers!! The view from our room in the Holiday Inn in Townsville.
